The propolis is a wax made by bees in spring, its production is 100 to 200 g per comb and per year.
The bees collect a series of resinous, gummy and balsamic substances to which they add their own substances giving rise to propolis.
The bees spread small pieces of propolis in the honeycomb to protect themselves from diseases and certain parasites. This is due to the bacteriostatic, bactericidal, fungicidal, anesthetic, anti-inflammatory and healing power of the propolis, so the propolis is recommended to increase the natural resistance of the organism in healthy people as a preventive measure.
