The most important function of chromium is to enhance the action of insulin by being part of the glucose tolerance factor (GTF). Zinc is directly related to the pancreatic gland. At the endocrine level it stimulates the Islets of Langerhans for the production of insulin. At an exocrine level it favors the production and secretion of pancreatic juice, indispensable for digestion. Bean pod extract is hypoglycemic due to its arginine content.
